HOW TO MAKE A READING REPORT

 

1.      Read a long passage and make a report in form of written and spoken! Then identify these following parts:

a.       Topic

The topic of this article is “Not saying Thank You as often as I should”.

b.      Pattern of Organization

The Pattern of Organization of this article is “List of Items”.

c.       Thesis Statement

The Thesis Statement of this article is “In almost all situation, saying Thank You is a better response than most things we say and these are 7 common situations when we say all kinds of things, but should say Thank you instead”.

d.      Supporting Points (man idea of each paragraph)

In this article there are 8 paragraphs, while the supporting points in each paragraph are:

1.      Thank you is the most underrapciated and underused phrase on the planet, It’s appropriate in almost any situation and it’s a better response than most things we say.

2.      Simply saying “Thank You” fully acknowledges the person making the compliment and allows you to enjoy the moment as well.

3.      Saying “Thank You” turns things around and acknowledges the sacrifices others have made by waiting.”Thank You for Waiting”.

4.      What we fail to realize is that it doesn’t matter if you don’t know what to say, All you need is to be present and thank you them for trusting you.

5.      Nobody likes to fail, but failure is just a data point, respond to useful feedback with a thank you and use it to improve.

6.      When you thank someone for criticizing you, it immediately neutralizes the power of their statement.

7.      Thank people for raising your self-awareness, even if they weren’t asked.

8.      When in doubt, just say thank you.

I think the information or ideas on this site are suitable for research projects because the information on this site is very good for research and provides a lot of new knowledge and new ideas for people who read this article, I think this article provides an overview of things that we usually take for granted even though really helps us in communicating and respecting others.
