The application of educational technology is currently the centre of world attention. Every learning program requires technology that is considered capable of guaranteeings uccessful learning. Currently education requires ideas about how people learn and whatneeds to be done to support learning (Galvis and Carvajal, 2022). where technology isbelieved to support learning. Schools in Indonesia are also competing in improving technology-based learning programs. Technology is developing so rapidly that it causes manyc hanges that make a difference in learning systems, but there are also similarities between learning systems before and after technology.
First, there are differences and similarities between the tools and the way the teacher explains the material. In the past, teachers taught with blackboards, now teachers use projectors. Now teachers rarely use the blackboard to provide teaching materials to their students, although there are still some who use the blackboard, but it is relatively small. Now, many teachers use projectors to display learning materials, it is considered easier for a teacher to convey information quickly to students. Unlike before, the teacher had to write on the blackboard and the students had to take notes first so the teacher could explain. But from the past until now a teacher explains the material directly to students, because this is the method used by a teacher so that students quickly understand the material.
Second, the similarities and differences in students' ways and media in reading before and after technology was introduced, the similarities are that from the past until now, textbooks are still used and students' reading techniques are still the same, where students are asked to use reading techniques that can make them understand what they read, the difference is that in the past all students still used textbooks but now, E-books are said to be more practical and can be taken anywhere. Students can download the E-book for free. and can be stored on a laptop or in a smart phone. So that students can easily carry various textbooks in the form of E-books everywhere without feeling heavy, and in the end the textbook practitioners are defeated by the presence of E-books. However, in this regard it has other limitations strongly related to technical, administrative, and pedagogical support for the transition from offline to online for instructors and students which are considered a determining factor in creating an effective online learning environment (Hart et al. 2021).
Third, the similarities and differences between exams before there was technology and after there was technology, exams are one part of the process of taking education in schools which are considered scary for some students in Indonesia. It is known by many people that the exam is one of the exams that all students in Indonesia take, and the results of this exam will determine whether or not students pass from a school. Exams are conducted to see whether students have acquired new knowledge and/or mastered new ones (Noble et al.2022). From the past until now students have always studied and prepared for exams and got the best grades. The test is carried out by students answering the questions given and then the teachers checking and giving marks. Actually, the exam technique in Indonesia before and after the technology was there was still the same from the past until now, but the difference is that in the past the exams still used manual media such as paper, pen or pencil. Now the exam is not done manually but the exam is already computer-based, so students don't have to blacken the answer sheets, this can make time more efficient and students' answers can be checked automatically using a computer.
The three points above are changes that have been felt since the entry of technology into the world of education. From these three points, it has been proven that with the introduction of technology into the world of education in Indonesia, it makes the process of delivering information to students easier, there are many learning media and easier ways of learning. apply technology in everyday life. Other concerns may be about public goods, providing flexibility and targeted learning, and the cost of education (Oliver, 2021). It's just that teachers or students who want to create technology-based learning must prepare the tools well. Then the teacher must also keep reminding students not to be carried away by the convenience provided by technology.
